Woodwind Chamber Ensemble Concert at Gustavus Sunday Posted on November 13th, 2012 by

The Gustavus Department of Music is pleased to present four of its woodwind chamber ensembles, including the High Five Quintet, the Gustavus Flute Choir, Clarinet Trio and Saxophone Quartet, in concert on Sunday, November 18 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be presented in Jussi Bjorling Recital Hall. Admission to the concert is free and open to the public.

Sunday’s woodwind chamber concert will begin with the Clarinet Trio playing the first two movements of Trio in C Major, Op. 87, by Ludvig van Beethoven. The Saxophone Quartet follows, performing Diffusion by Gordon Goodwin. The High Five Quintet performs next with the third movement of Wind Quintet No. 3 in F Major, by Giuseppe Maria Cambini, and also Suite for Woodwind Quintet, composed by Robert Washburn. The program will conclude with the Flute Choir performing two movements from Suite No. 2 from L’Arlesienne by Georges Bizet.

The Gustavus Department of Music hosts the Woodwind Chamber Ensembles in concert on Sunday, November 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Jussi Bjorling Recital Hall.  This performance is free and open to the public
