The Gustavus Philharmonic Orchestra, Justin Knoepfel, conductor

The Gustavus Philharmonic Orchestra and Conductor Justin Knoepfel will welcome featured violin soloists Conor O’Brien and Jill Olson Moser to their spring concert on the Bjorling Recital Hall stage on Sunday, March 22 at 1:30 p.m. This performance is free and open to the public.

Justin Knoepfel has selected 3 works for the Philharmonic’s spring concert. The ensemble will open the performance with 2 movements from Handel’s Instrumental Music from Messiah, followed by the Psalm and Fugue for String Orchestra, Op. 40a by Alan Hovhannes. Violinists Conor O’Brien and Jill Olson Moser, both members of the faculty in the Department of Music, will join the orchestra for the final work on the program, the Concerto for Two Violins in D minor, MWV 1043 by Johann Sebastian Bach.

This spring concert by the Gustavus Philharmonic Orchestra will begin at 1:30 p.m. in Bjorling Recital Hall. The performance is free and open to the public.
