The Gustavus Jazz Lab Band and Adolphus Jazz Ensemble will perform a concert Friday, May 5. at 7:30 p.m. The concert will feature guest artist, Adam Meckler on trumpet. The performance will be held in Bjorling Recital Hall and is free and open to the public.

The Tragedy of King Lear Features Emeritus Professor Rob Gardner in Title Role

The Gustavus Adolphus College Department of Theatre and Dance will present William Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of King Lear in Anderson Theatre May 6-7 and 12-14. Legendary Gustavus theatre professor emeritus Rob Gardner returns to Gustavus to reprise the iconic role of King Lear.Tickets go on sale Friday, April 21, at gustavustickets.com. They will also be available in the Anderson Theatre lobby one hour before show times. Shows on May 6, 12, and 13 begin at 7:30 p.m. and May 7 and 14 shows begin at 2 p.m.

Dance Performances Today in the Hillstrom Museum of Art in conjunction with Made in U.S.A.: Rosenquist/Ruscha Exhibit

In conjunction with the Hillstrom Museum of Art’s current exhibition Made in U.S.A. (on view through April 23, 2017), a dance program titled The Culture of Movement, will be presented in the Museum on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. and again from 7:30 to 8:00 p.m. All performances are free and open to the public.
