A Pair of Duo Piano Recitals Set for Weekend at Gustavus

Two duo piano recitals will be presented in Bjorling Recital Hall on the Gustavus Adolphus College campus this weekend. Husband and wife pianists Du Huang and Xiao Hu open the weekend on Friday, September 30 and Paul and Helen Baumgartner follow with a performance on Saturday, October 1. Both performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public.

New Play at Gustavus Commissioned to Explore Einstein and Time

Award-winning playwright Janet Allard's newest play, Clockworks: Einstein Time, commissioned by Gustavus Adolphus College, premieres in Anderson Theatre on the Gustavus campus, Tuesday, September 27, as part of the 2005 Nobel Conference, The Legacy of Einstein. Other performances are scheduled September 29 through October 2.

Soprano Maria Jette Joins Gustavus’ Jorgensen and Wang for Music Season Premiere

Renowned Minneapolis soprano Maria Jette joins talents with Gustavus faculty Michael Jorgensen, baritone and pianist Esther Wang to present the music of Minnesota composer Celius Dougherty, Saturday, September 17. This performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in Jussi Björling Recital Hall on the Gustavus campus and is free and open to the public.

New Gustavus Cellist Presents Faculty Recital

Gustavus Adolphus College 'Cellist Adriana La Rosa Ransom will present a faculty recital on Sunday, September 18, in Jussi Björling Recital Hall. With Pianist Jason Alfred, Ms. Ransom's performance begins at 3:30 p.m. and marks her first appearance on the Björling stage since joining the Gustavus Department of Music this summer.
