The Gustavus Department of Music’s annual tradition of showcasing major ensembles continues this Sunday, October 14, with a performance for Family Weekend in Christ Chapel. The concert includes the Gustavus Choir, the Gustavus and Vasa Wind Orchestras, the Gustavus Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestras and the Lucia Singers and begins at 1:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel. The performance is free and open to the public.
The concert opens with the Gustavus Symphony Orchestra and Conductor Warren Friesen, followed by the Gustavus Choir and Guest Conductor Steven Boehlke. Douglas Nimmo and the Vasa Wind Orchestra next take the stage, followed by the Lucia Singers and Conductor Patricia Snapp. The final work on the program is a performance by the Gustavus Wind Orchestra, conducted by Douglas Nimmo.
