A Colorful Palette of Dance in Range of Motion, the Spring Dance Concert at Gustavus Adolphus College

The Gustavus Department of Theatre and Dance is pleased to present the 2009 Spring Dance Concert, Range of Motion. The Gustavus Dance Company will perform a diverse assortment of works by Gustavus Faculty members and Guest Artist Charlotte Adams, professor at the University of Iowa. Performances will be held in Anderson Theatre March 13-14 at 8 pm and March 15 at 2 pm.

Native American Artist Jaune Quick-to-See Smith at Gustavus

The Hillstrom Museum of Art, with the support of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, presents a lecture titled "A Survey of Contemporary American Indian Art," delivered by Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, Sunday, March 8, 2009. This lecture begins at 3:30 p.m. in Wallenberg Auditorium, Nobel Hall of Science on the Gustavus Adolphus College campus. It is free and open to the public.

West Point’s Jazz Knights to Perform at Gustavus

Gustavus Adolphus College and the St. Peter Herald are pleased to sponsor West Point's Jazz Knights in concert at Bjorling Recital Hall, Wednesday, March 4, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The jazz ambassadors for the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the Jazz Knights, under the direction of Chief Warrant Officer Matthew Morse, will be joined by the Gustavus Jazz Lab Band and Director Steve Wright for this free public performance.

Gustavus’ Anderson Theatre to Present Gao Xingjian’s The Other Shore

The Department of Theatre and Dance at Gustavus Adolphus College will present The Other Shore, a play written by Nobel Prize winner Gao Xingjian. Directed by Amy Seham and featuring choreography by Melissa Rolnick, performances will be held in Anderson Theatre Feb. 19-21 at 8 p.m. and Feb. 22 at 2 p.m.
