The Gustavus Faculty Chamber Quartet

Four members of the Gustavus Adolphus College Department of Music will present a faculty chamber concert on Sunday, March 18. This performance by Peter McGuire, violin, Justin Knoepfel, viola, Sharon Mautner-Rodgers, ‘cello and Yumiko Oshima-Ryan, piano is set to begin at 1:30 p.m. in Jussi Björling Recital Hall. Admission is free and the concert is open to the public.

The first half of Sunday’s chamber concert will feature Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Trio in E-flat Major, Op. 1, No. 1., for violin, ‘cello and piano. Violist Justin Knoepfel joins the trio following intermission to form the quartet for Johannes Brahms’ Piano Quartet in C Minor, Op. 60.

Sunday’s faculty chamber concert will begin at 1:30 p.m. in Jussi Björling Recital Hall. The performance is free, open to the public and will be followed by a reception for the musicians.
