Under the direction of Paul Hill, the Gustavus Percussion Ensemble will present its fall concert in Björling Recital Hall on Friday, November 6 at 7:30 p.m. The Ensemble will perform this concert with the support of guest artists Emma Johnson and Scott Nelson. The percussion ensemble’s concert is free and open to the public.
The performance will open with the Short Overture for Percussion by Robert Buggert and the Stanley Leonard arrangement of Mozart’s “Mirror Canon,” Spiegelkanon. The concert will continue with Director Paul Hill’s arrangement of Everything in its Right Place by Thomas Yorke, Philip Selway, Edward O’Brien, Colin Greenwood and Jonathan Greenwood. The finale of the program will bring special guests Emma Johnson and Scott Nelson to the stage for the performance of Maurice Ravel’s Laideronnette, Imperatrice des Pagodes from the Mother Goose Suite, arrangement by Matthew Barber.
Friday’s fall percussion concert by the Gustavus Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Paul Hill, will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Jussi Björling Recital Hall. The performance is free and open to the public.
