Flute and Piano’s DuoSolo to Perform at Gustavus Posted on March 4th, 2009 by

The acclaimed flute/piano duo, DuoSolo will perform at Gustavus Adolphus College on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at 7:00 pm. in Björling Recital Hall. Their program will feature works composed since 1990 by some of today’s leading composers, including Forrest Pierce, David Lang, Györgi Ligeti, Ian Clarke, Bruno Mantovani, and Gabriela Frank.

DuoSolo is the partnership of flutist Mary Kirkendoll and pianist Michael Kirkendoll and has been praised around the world for their adventurous programming, insightful commentary, virtuosic mastery, and passionate advocacy of the music of living composers. Their presentation of new music in new ways makes a DuoSolo concert an experience not to be missed.

Sunday’s performance in Björling Recital Hall begins at 7:00 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
