Nobel On Ego Sold-Out,Tickets Remain For Oct. 7-9

Is there a “You” inside of you? The Department of Theatre and Dance at Gustavus Adolphus College, in conjunction with the 2011 Nobel Conference, The Brain and Being Human, will present Mick Gordon and Paul Broks’ On Ego, on the Anderson Theatre stage October 4, 7, 8 & 9. At the same time a love story and a contemplation of the essential philosophical and identity issues dealing with “self,” On Ego asks the audience: Is there a “You” inside of you? Are you more than organic tissue and complex chemical and electrical interactions? If so, what is “You”?

Melius Trio In Concert At Gustavus

Sunday, October 9 brings the Melius Trio and Gustavus pianist Esther Wang to the Gustavus campus as a guest of the Department of Music. The Trio's performance begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be presented in Jussi Björling Recital Hall. The Trio appears as guest artists of the department. The performance is free and open to the public.

Gustavus Hosts Chestnut Brass Company

The Grammy winning Chestnut Brass Company will be in concert at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, hosted by the Gustavus Artist Series, Saturday, October 8, 2011.
