Under the leadership of Karrin Meffert-Nelson, Ann Pesavento, James DeVoll and John Engebretson, six woodwind ensembles of the Department of Music at Gustavus Adolphus College will present their fall recital Sunday, November 20. This event includes performances by the The Gustavus Flute Choir, the Gustavus Saxophone Quartet, the Ignotum Nomen, the Gustie Winds, the Fyra Winds and the Kalmar Quintet. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in Björling Recital Hall and is free and open to the public.
Sunday’s performance opens with the Flute Choir under the direction of James DeVoll, followed by the IGNOTUM NOMEN, a flute, clarinet and bassoon trio, coached by Ann Pesavento. The concert continues with the Gustie Winds, a clarinet quartet coached by Karrin Meffert-Nelson, the Gustavus Saxophone and coach John Engebretson and the Fyra Winds clarinet quartet coached by Meffert-Nelson. Sunday’s concert concludes with the Kalmar Wind Quintet, coached by Ann Pesavento.
This fall performance of the Gustavus Woodwind Chamber Concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in Björling Recital Hall. It is free and open to the public.
