The ensemble’s membership of five includes Katie Feterl, Mariah Grant, Michael Larson, Haley Moritz and Tia Thompson and the program will feature them in varying combinations, depending on the composition or arrangement. The performance will open the performance with J. S. Bach’s aria Bist du bei mir, “If you are with me.” It continues with Fisher Tull’s Sonatina, written for four percussionists playing a total of 17 instruments. The concert concludes with Ragtime Robin by George Hamilton Green, a xylophonist, composer and Disney cartoonist. In addition to his work as a musician and cartoonist, Green, an inventor as well, is credited with inventing the vibraphone.
