Beth Hauer to Present Senior Euphonium Recital Posted on December 4th, 2012 by

The Gustavus Department of Music is pleased to present the Senior Euphonium Recital of Beth Hauer on Sunday, December 9 at 3:30 p.m. Beth will be accompanied by pianist Beth Winterfeldt for the recital which will take place in Jussi Bjorling Recital Hall. It is free and open to the public.

Beth is a Music Education major from Little Falls and this is her twelfth year playing the euphonium. She is a 2009 graduate of Little Falls Community High School and the daughter of Jane and Charles Hauer of Little Falls. She is a member of the Gustavus Wind Orchestra and studies privately with Gustavus music instructor Paul Budde. At the end of her junior year, Beth was named the Department of Music’s Presser Scholar, the most prestigious honor the Department can bestow on one of its students.

For this recital, Beth will begin with Arpeggione, a work by Franz Schubert, followed by Pantomime, by Phillip Sparke, and David Gillingham’s Blue Lake Fantasies. The program will conclude with Vladimir Cosma’s Eupronium Concerto.

The Gustavus Department of Music will present Beth Hauer, accompanied by pianist Beth Winterfeldt, for this Senior Euphonium Recital on December 9 at 3:30 p.m. in Bjorling Recital Hall.  Admission to the concert is free and open to the public.
