Senior Saxophone Recital by Camille Jarvis Saturday Posted on April 16th, 2013 by

The Department of Music at Gustavus Adolphus College is pleased to present the senior saxophone recital of Camille Jarvis. Camille will present her recital on Saturday, April 20, at 3:30 p.m. in Bjorling Recital Hall, accompanied by Beth Winterfeldt. The recital is free and open to the public.

Camille is a senior music major from Cottage Grove, Minnesota. She was home schooled by her parents, Erbayne and Deborah. At Gustavus, Camille is a member of the Gustavus Wind Orchestra, the Handbell Choir, and the Saxophone Quartet. She studies with John Engebretson.

For this recital, Camille will begin by playing John Harbison’s San Antonio, followed by Tableaux de Provence, by Paule Maurice, and Darius Milhaud’s work Scaramouche. Camille will then perform a duet with her brother, Cameron Jarvis, by Johann Quantz, the Duet in G Major. Next on the program is James Di Pasquale’s Sonata and Aus Holbergs Zeit, a work by Edvard Grieg. The final song will be performed by the Gustavus Saxophone Quartet, Paquito D’Rivera’s Wapango.

The Gustavus Department of Music is delighted to present Camille Jarvis’ senior saxophone recital on Saturday, April 20 at 3:30 p.m. The recital is open to the public.
