The Adolphus Jazz Ensemble, Steve Wright, director

The Adolphus Jazz Ensemble and Director Steve Wright will be joined by the Gustavus Jazz Trio for their spring concert on Sunday, March 23, at 1:30 p.m. in Jussi Björling Recital Hall. This performance is open to the public and admission is free.

Under the direction of Steve Wright, the Adolphus Jazz Ensemble will open the program with a set of five songs, Rain by Steve Wright, Spring Song by Pete McGuinness, Lonely Street and Standing in the Rain by Sammy Nestico and Michael Philip Mossman’s Mia’s Lamplight Foxtrot. The trio will then take the stage and will announce their selections from the stage. Following the trio’s performance, the Adolphus Jazz Ensemble will return to the stage and close the performance with Circumvent by Les Hooper and Mark Taylor’s arrangement of The Chant, written by Victor Feldman.

Sunday’s performance by Director Steve Wright’s Adolphus Jazz Ensemble and the Gustavus Jazz Trio will begin at 1:30 p.m. in Björling Recital Hall. This performance is open to the public and admission is free.
