The Department of Music is pleased to present a junior organ recital by David Lim of New Prague. David will present his recital in Christ Chapel on Friday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m. This recital is free and open to the public.

For this recital, David has selected a program that includes a variety of works for organ. Friday’s program includes: J. S. Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in D-Major, BWV532; the first movement of the Sonata no. 3 in A-Major, op. 65, no. 2 by Felix Mendelssohn; Le jardin Suspendu by Jehan Alain; Petite Suite pour orgue quatre mains by Denis Bedard; and Pieces de Fantasie, Suite II, op. 53, movements (III) Hymne au Soleil and (V) Claire de Lune by Louis Vierne.

David Lim is a junior music performance and biology double-major from New Prague and a 2011 graduate of New Prague High School. He studies organ at Gustavus with Dr. Chad Winterfeldt and is a former student of Chad Fothergill. He is the son of Jean and Dr. Meng Lim ’78 of New Prague.

The junior organ recital in Christ Chapel by David Lim will be presented at 7:30 p.m. The performance is free and open to the public.
