The Department of Theatre/Dance’s big fall weekend is ahead as it hosts its annual Theatre Gallery in the Schaefer Fine Arts Center. As with each of the Theatre Galleries, this weekend includes a variety of performances and showcase opportunities for student creation, direction and performance. The Gallery includes a series of four shows in the Black Box Theatre, the Kresge Dance Studio and one performance on the main Anderson Stage beginning November 20 and running through November 23.
The weekend includes works written by Amy Seham, Samuel Beckett, a devised performance from the course designed by artist-in-residence Brian Evans ’07 and 2 social justice theatre conceptions — one directed by Amy Seham and one created by the Gustavus social justice theatre troupe, I Am, We Are. Tickets are priced at $3.00 for each show (with comp tickets available to Gustavus students and staff) and are available in advance online at gustavustickets.com or by calling 507-933-7590. Seating is limited and the audience is encouraged to get its tickets early.
