Organist Chad Winterfeldt Presents Messiaen’s Nine Meditations for Organ at Gustavus

Gustavus associate organist Chad Winterfeldt will present Olivier Messiaen's Nine Meditations for Organ in Christ Chapel on Friday, February 13, 2009, beginning at 7:30 p.m. This faculty recital is a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the French composer and organist. The performance is free and open to the public.

Gustavus Wind Orchestra Presents Home Concert at Christ Chapel

The Gustavus Wind Orchestra returns from its annual winter concert tour to present its Home Concert in Christ Chapel, Sunday, February 8, beginning at 2:00 p.m. This performance, under the direction of Douglas Nimmo, includes works by Goto, Gould, Bernstein, Youtz and others. It is free and open to the public.

Gustavus String Orchestra Returns to Present Home Concert

The Gustavus String Orchestra, under the direction of Warren Friesen, returns from a 10-day concert tour in the Midwest to present its Home Tour Concert in Bjorling Recital Hall, Monday, February 9. Titled American Patchwork, the performance begins at 7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Pacific Lutheran’s Choir of the West in Concert at Gustavus

The Choir of the West, an outstanding collegiate choral ensemble from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, will appear in concert on Tuesday, January 27th at Christ Chapel on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus College, 800 West College Avenue, St. Peter, Minnesota. The concert will begin at 7:00 pm, and admission is free (a freewill offering will be taken).
