Jahnke Voice Recital Saturday at Gustavus Posted on April 5th, 2010 by

The Department of Music at Gustavus Adolphus College will present senior soprano Amy Jahnke in her final voice recital at Gustavus on Saturday, April 10, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Accompanied by pianist Ashley Tibbetts, Ms. Jahnke will present her senior recital in the college’s Jussi Björling Recital Hall. It is free and open to the public.

Amy Jahnke is a native of Antigo, Wisconsin with a major in history and minors in English and music. She is a Björling Scholar, a member of the Gustavus Choir and studies voice with Rebecca McConnaughey. For her senior recital, she will open with Mozart’s Ave Verum, and Laudamus te from Vivaldi’s Gloria. The recital continues with two French works, Gabriel Faure’s Les roses d’Isfahan and Claude Debussy’s Nuit d’Etoiles. Following two more works by Mozart, Jahnke and Tibbetts will conclude the recital with Maury Yeston’s Please Let’s Not Even Say Hello and Roger Quilter’s Love’s Philosophy.

This senior voice recital by Amy Jahnke begins at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and is free and open to the public.
