Organist David Lim to Present Recital Friday Posted on March 21st, 2013 by

The Department of Music and the Office of the Chaplain are pleased to present New Prague native David Lim’s student recital on the Christ Chapel organ on the Gustavus Adolphus College campus. Mr. Lim’s recital begins at 7:00 pm. on Friday, March 22 in Christ Chapel. The recital is free and open to the public.

David Lim is a 2011 graduate of New Prague High School. He is both a Bjorling and Gustavus Music Scholarship winner and is currently studying with Dr. Chad Winterfeldt. David is a member of the Choir of Christ Chapel and the Gustavus Handbell Choir.

For his recital, Mr. Lim will open the recital with Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in G-Major, followed by Trois Pieces by Cesar Franck, and Introduction & Hymn on the tune Wondrous Love with singing by the audience of the hymn. David will conclude his recital with two works by George Shearing, Jerusalem, My Happy Home and I Love Thee, My Lord, and the 2nd movement from The Hildegard Organ Cycle by Frank Ferko.

David Lim’s organ recital is free and open to the public. The recital begins at 7:00 p.m. in Christ Chapel on Friday, March 22.
