Gustavus Celebrates Honors Recitalists Saturday Posted on April 29th, 2015 by

G-PinAn annual celebration of the finest musicians in Gustavus’s Class of 2015 will be held Saturday, May 2 at 1:30 p.m. in Jussi Björling Recital Hall. The 2015 Senior Honors Recital will feature performances by seven of the Department of Music’s graduating seniors in voice, piano, guitar, horn, double bass and bassoon. This performance is part of the College’s annual Honors Day festivities and will be presented free and open to the public.

These seven recitalists were selected by the faculty in the department through an audition process earlier in the semester. Although a major in music is not a requirement for participation in the recital, this year each performer will graduate with either a major or minor in music. The variety of style and instrument is evident in Saturday’s Honors Recital program and showcases the musical depth of these young performers from the Gustavus Department of Music.
