Kyle Langer is a Music with Honors in Performance major from Otsego, Minnesota. He performed with the Gustavus Wind Orchestra, the Gustavus Symphony Orchestra, and other instrumental ensembles. Professor Scott Moore says “Kyle is very motivated to improve his musicianship. He is gifted with an above-average amount of common sense and is not afraid of hard work. I will not be surprised to hear of his success as a graduate student at Cincinnati, especially where there are opportunities to perform with terrific professional ensembles.”
We asked Kyle about his time at Gustavus and his goals for the future.
What are your plans for the future?
KL: “I am attending graduate school at Cincinnati College of Music with the goal of becoming a professional orchestral musician and college professor.”
What will you miss most about music at Gustavus?
KL: “The access to amazing faculty and opportunities to play in a wide variety of ensembles.”
