Gustavus Percussionists in Concert Sunday Posted on November 12th, 2007 by

The Gustavus Percussion Ensembles Fall Concert is set for Sunday, November 18, beginning at 1:30 p.m. in Jussi Björling Recital Hall on the Gustavus Adolphus College campus. Conducted by Robert Adney and Paul Hill, the concert is free and open to the public.

Sixteen players comprise the two percussion ensembles at Gustavus. The Thursday Percussion Ensemble and conductor Paul Hill open the program with Greg Holloway’s Status Cymbals and Morris Brand’s Balalaikan Holiday. They complete the first half of the program with Barn Dance by Murray Houllif.

Robert Adndy and the Tuesday Percussion Ensemble open the second half of the concert with Ceremonial, Opus 103 by Paul Creston and Taiko by Scott Harding. They conclude Sunday’s concert with Dancin’ at the Gates by David Mancini.

This percussion ensembles concert begins at 1:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
