Michael Asmus Presents Organ & Conducting Evening in Christ Chapel

Senior music major from Gaylor, Minnesota, Michael Asmus, presented his senior organ and conducting recital in Christ Chapel on the Gustavus Adolphus College campus on Sunday, April 21. The program of organ, chorus and chamber orchestra included the assistance of Michael's instructor, organist Chad Winterfeldt, and nearly 60 of Michael's fellow students in Le Grande Bande & Chorus. The recital began at 7:30 p.m. in Christ Chapel.

Jane Chung’s Under the Surface Set for This Weekend in the Black Box

The Department of Theatre & Dance at Gustavus presents a senior honors project by Jane Chung in the department's Black Box Theatre on April 26-28. Performances of Under the Surface are scheduled for 8:00 p.m. and midnight on April 26 and 27 and at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 28. Woodwind Chamber Concert Sunday

The Department of Music at Gustavus Adolphus College is pleased to present the Woodwind Chamber Ensembles Concert in Björling Recital Hall on Sunday, April 28, beginning at 3:30 p.m. Under the direction of Karrin Meffert-Nelson, James DeVoll, Ann Pesavento and John Engebretson, the concert will include a variety of ensemble performances ranging from clarinet trios and quartets, to saxophone quartet, flute choir and a woodwind quintet. Sunday's concert is free and open to the public.

Percussion Ensemble Opens Sunday Concert Schedule

The Gustavus Percussion Ensemble will present its spring concert in Jussi Björling Recital Hall on Sunday, April 28 beginning at 1:30 p.m. Directed by Paul Hill, the members of the ensemble will present a wide variety of works written or arranged for percussion ensemble. The Percussion Ensemble's spring concert is free and open to the public.

Rebecca Silus Exhibition “Borderland” in Schaefer Gallery

The Department of Art/Art History and the Gustavus Artist Series of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, are pleased to present and exhibition of new works by Minneapolis artist Rebecca Silus. BORDERLAND will be on display in Schaefer Gallery in the Department of Art/Art History between April 21 and May 9, 2013. An opening reception and gallery talk by Rebecca Silus is scheduled in Scheafer Gallery on Thursday, April 25 between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. The gallery is open daily from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Admission to the exhibition and the opening reception and gallery talk are free and open to the public.
