Math & Computer Science to Present Art Exhibition in Olin Posted on February 26th, 2015 by

For the second time in five years, the members of the Department of Math and Computer Science will host an exhibition of art works created by members of the department. The exhibit will be open to the public March 6 through March 20 in the Department’s foyer on the 3rd floor of Olin Hall. The Gustavus community is invited to attend a reception to open the exhibition on Friday, March 6, beginning at 3:30 p.m. Light hors-d’oeuvres will be served.

This is the second art exhibition to be presented by the faculty in MCS. As with the original show five years ago, the exhibit will be curated by Prof. Lois Peterson, the MCS department’s Artist-in-Residence. The Department views the exhibition as a “showcase of the liberal arts experience and of the aesthetic appeal to be to be found in diverse fields of artistic endeavor.” The collection will feature works in a variety of media ranging from works in fiber, works of nature, works in wood and others.

The community is cordially invited to attend the opening reception on March 6 and to view the exhibit at any time between March 6 and 20. This exhibition of works by members of the Department of Math and Computer Science is free and open to the public.
