Pianist Laura Lundorff Senior Recital Sunday Posted on November 11th, 2008 by

The Department of Music at Gustavus Adolphus College is pleased to present the senior piano recital of Laura Lundorff on Sunday, November 16. Lundorff, a student of Yumiko Oshima-Ryan, will begin her recital in Jussi Björling Recital Hall at 1:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

For her senior recital, Laura has selected works by Beethoven, Chopin and Bartok. She will open the recital with Beethoven’s Sonata Op. 22 in E-flat Major and continue with the Nocturne Op. 9, No. 1 in B-flat Minor by Frederic Chopin. She will conclude her performance with the six-movement Romanian Folk Dances composed by Bela Bartok.

Laura Lundorff is a senior nursing major from St. Cloud, Minnesota. She is the daughter of Bruce and Michelle Lundorff and a 2005 graduate of Apollo High School. At Gustavus, she studies piano with Yumiko Oshima-Ryan and is a member of the Gustavus Philharmonic Orchestra. She is a recipient of the Jussi Björling Music Scholarship.

Sunday’s senior piano recital by Laura Lundorff begins at 1:30 p.m., followed by a reception in the recital hall lobby. The recital is free and open to the public.
