    The Gustavus Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of Brian Buckstead, will present Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons on Sunday, March 16, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Jussi Bjorling Recital Hall. Daniel Jacobsen, Amara Berthelsen, Rachel Dorr and Mark Wamma will be featured as violin soloists. This performance is free and open to the public.

    The Gustavus Adolphus College Department of Music will present Emily C. Johnson in her junior clarinet recital Sunday, March 16 in Jussi Bjorling Recital Hall.   • Erik Mahon to Present Trumpet Recital Saturday

    Colorado native and junior at Gustavus Adolphus College, Erik Mahon, will present his junior trumpet recital in Bjorling Recital Hall beginning at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 8. Mr. Mahon will be accompanied by St. Peter pianist Beth Winterfeldt and joined by the members of the Christ Chapel Brass for this performance.

  • Gustavus Features Faculty Trio Recital Friday

    Gustavus Adolphus College faculty members Yumiko Oshima-Ryan, piano, Brian Buckstead, violin and guest ‘cellist Joseph Rodgers will be in concert at Jussi Bjorling Recital Hall, Friday, March 7, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Works by Beethoven, Ravel and Shostakovich will be presented in this performance which is free and open to the public.

  • Mankato Violinist Mark Wamma to Present Junior Recital at Gustavus

    Mankato area violinist Mark Wamma will present his junior recital on Sunday, March 2, beginning at 3:30 p.m. in Gustavus Adolphus College’s Jussi Bjorling Recital Hall. Accompanied by pianist Beth Winterfeldt, Mr. Wamma will present works by Barber and Beethoven. The recital is free and open to the public.

    The Department of Music at Gustavus Adolphus College will present a faculty flute recital by John Samuel Roper, Saturday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m. Roper’s recital will be presented with pianist Jieun Kim and bassoonist Ann Pesavento. The performance in Jussi Bjorling Recital Hall is free and open to the public.
