  • Gustavus Opens Artist Series with Ladysmith Black Mambazo

    Gustavus Adolphus College is pleased to announce the 2007 Gustavus Artist Series season which opens September 28 with South Africa’s Ladysmith Black Mambazo. The Czech Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra follows on October 16 and Michael Johnson’s annual Christmas concert concludes the season on December 14.

    The Music Department at Gustavus Adolphus College has named 2004 Owatonna High Shool graduate Andrew Jensen as the 2007 – 2008 recipient of the Presser Scholarship. This award, presented annually, is presented to a senior in the department and is based on musicianship, scholarship and contribution to the department.
